Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Frames Political Battle as Gandhi Parivar Versus Sangh Parivar

Hyderabad: Escalating his political offensive against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has characterized the ongoing ideological and electoral battle in the country as a direct face-off between the 'Gandhi Parivar' and the 'Sangh Parivar'. Speaking at a high-profile political gathering, the Chief Minister asserted that the future trajectory of Indian democracy depends on the outcome of this contest, warning that the forces aligned with the Sangh Parivar represent the single largest threat to the nation's constitutional fabric.

Reddy drew a sharp contrast between the two ideological streams, arguing that the Gandhi family legacy stands for inclusivity, secularism, social justice, and national unity, while the Sangh Parivar promotes caste divisions and communal polarization. He emphasized that the Congress leadership has consistently sacrificed for the unity and integrity of India, from Mahatma Gandhi's fight for freedom to the martyrdom of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.

'The fight for the soul and future of India is not merely between two political parties; it is a fundamental clash between two diametrically opposed ideologies,' Revanth Reddy said. He noted that whereas the Gandhi Parivar has worked relentlessly to preserve composite culture and uplift marginalized communities, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its political arms have sought to reshape the country's pluralistic foundations through divisive rhetoric.

Pitching forcefully for Rahul Gandhi to assume the office of Prime Minister, the Telangana Chief Minister argued that only a leader with uncompromising commitment to the Constitution can counter the aggressive communal politics practiced by the ruling establishment at the Centre. Reddy highlighted Rahul Gandhi's nationwide outreach through the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, emphasizing that these initiatives successfully brought issues of unemployment, inflation, and caste-based inequities to the forefront of national discourse.

Reddy also accused the BJP-led Central government of systematically undermining autonomous democratic institutions, silencing opposition voices, and using federal enforcement agencies to target non-BJP state governments. He pointed out that while the Congress government in Telangana is focused on delivering welfare guarantees, addressing farmer distress, and conducting comprehensive socio-economic surveys, the opposition in the state is attempting to stoke communal tensions for narrow electoral gains.

The Chief Minister's comments come at a time when the Congress party is consolidating its position across southern states, presenting itself as the primary bulwark against the expansion of the BJP.
