Ajay Devgn Praises Mohanlal As Drishyam 3 Prepares For Massive Box Office Opening

The much-anticipated cinematic universe of the thriller franchise is back in the headlines as advance bookings for the upcoming installment shatter previous box office records. Industry analysts and trade experts are closely monitoring the phenomenal initial response, noting that the opening day figures for the latest film have officially surpassed those of recent blockbusters, including Singham Again. This remarkable milestone underscores the enduring popularity of the suspenseful narrative and the star power driving its theatrical run.

At the center of this cultural phenomenon is actor Ajay Devgn, who recently opened up about the immense pressure and responsibility of carrying forward a narrative that has already seen immensely successful iterations in multiple languages. During a promotional interview, Devgn specifically emphasized the vital role played by veteran actor Mohanlal, whose stellar portrayal in the original Malayalam version set a gold standard for the genre. According to Devgn, securing Mohanlal's approval and maintaining the creative integrity of the character is the ultimate validation for the entire creative team.

'It is not just about executing a twist or staging a dramatic confrontation; it is about preserving the core emotional and psychological depth that fans expect,' Devgn noted while discussing the narrative progression. The complex cat-and-mouse game involving the central protagonist, Vijay Salgaonkar, has evolved significantly since the first film. The storyline demands meticulous attention to detail, especially given that audiences today are exceptionally sharp and quick to dissect every plot point. Speculation among fans has been rampant across social media platforms, with viewers eagerly discussing potential directions the story could take, with many humorously debating whether the protagonist can maintain his elusive cover without resorting to extreme violence.

The franchise's unique appeal lies in its grounded approach to ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances. Unlike typical high-octane action films where heroes dominate through sheer physical force, the Drishyam series relies entirely on wit, psychological endurance, and the fierce protection of family. This narrative structure has resonated deeply with moviegoers across different linguistic regions in India, creating a unified fandom that eagerly anticipates every development.

As theaters gear up for houseful shows on the opening weekend, distributors and multiplex operators are increasing screen counts to meet the unprecedented demand. Trade analysts predict that the film will easily secure one of the highest opening day collections of the year, establishing a new benchmark for suspense thrillers in Indian cinema. With the creative partnership and mutual respect between lead actors across different industries keeping the momentum alive, Drishyam 3 is poised to redefine box office expectations and deliver another unforgettable cinematic experience.
