Ajay Devgn Gears Up For Drishyam 3 With Record Advance Bookings And High Expectations

The cinematic landscape is buzzing with anticipation as the highly awaited thriller Drishyam 3 prepares to hit theatres, setting new benchmarks even before its official release. Advance booking figures for the opening day have officially crossed previous records, establishing a remarkable career-best milestone for Bollywood star Ajay Devgn. Industry analysts note that the numbers have comfortably surpassed the opening day metrics of recent high-profile releases like 'Singham Again', demonstrating the unstoppable box office pull of the franchise.

Fans across the country are eagerly revisiting the intricate plots of the first two installments to refresh their memories ahead of the October 2 release. The meticulous cat-and-mouse game between Vijay Salgaonkar and the law enforcement authorities has kept audiences hooked for a decade. With the third chapter promising even more twists, turns, and psychological warfare, ticket windows have witnessed unprecedented rushes, signaling a massive festive opening.

In recent promotional interactions, Ajay Devgn opened up about the immense pressure and responsibility that comes with helming a franchise of this magnitude. Notably, the actor revealed why the approval of Mohanlal—who starred in the original Malayalam versions titled 'Drishyam' and 'Drishyam 2'—matters deeply to the entire creative team. Devgn expressed profound respect for Mohanlal's foundational portrayal of the iconic protagonist, noting that securing a nod of appreciation from the veteran actor provides a unique validation for the Hindi adaptation's direction.

'When you are working on a beloved story that has already resonated deeply with audiences in its original language, staying true to the core emotional and suspenseful fabric is crucial,' Devgn shared during a recent media briefing. He emphasized that the narrative success relies heavily on maintaining logical consistency, clever plotting, and the moral ambiguities that defined the previous chapters. Mohanlal's enduring legacy in the role serves as both an inspiration and a benchmark for maintaining top-tier performance standards.

Trade experts predict that Drishyam 3 will dominate the box office during its opening weekend, capitalizing on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday and strong word-of-mouth chatter. Cinema chains have added extra early-morning and late-night shows across major metropolitan cities to accommodate the overwhelming demand. As the countdown to October 2 continues, excitement reaches a fever pitch, cementing the franchise's place as one of the most successful and enduring thriller sagas in modern Indian cinema history. Audiences are bracing themselves for yet another brilliant display of wit, deception, and family protection that has become the hallmark of the Salgaonkar household.
