Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has announced a massive wave of development projects, governance reforms, and educational initiatives, marking an active phase for the state administration. As the current coalition government completed its first 100 days in office, Choudhary unveiled a series of multi-crore schemes aimed at transforming Bihar's infrastructure, boosting rural empowerment, and enhancing the higher education network across the state's diverse blocks.

Massive Financial Influx and 100-Day Achievements

To commemorate the 100-day milestone of the state government, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced a massive capital outlay. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 2,476 distinct development projects collectively valued at Rs 11,464 crore. These projects span across multiple sectors, including rural roads, water management, healthcare facilities, and urban infrastructure.

In addition to these direct state investments, Choudhary set an ambitious target to attract private capital to Bihar. He declared that the state administration is working systematically to secure investments worth Rs 5 lakh crore by November 20. This major investment drive is expected to stimulate industrial growth, generate thousands of jobs for local youth, and position Bihar as a competitive hub for manufacturing and services in eastern India.

Panchayat Delimitation and Rural Governance Reforms

In a move that has resonated deeply with grassroots administrators, Samrat Choudhary announced a comprehensive delimitation process for local panchayats. The decision to restructure and redraft panchayat boundaries is aimed at ensuring more equitable distribution of resources and better administrative efficiency at the village level.

Following this announcement, local leaders launched a massive expression of gratitude. The Mukhiya Mahasangh Bihar (Bihar Association of Village Heads), led by state president Mithilesh Kumar Roy, initiated a special thanksgiving campaign. The gratitude yatra commenced from Parsa in the Saran district, signaling strong support from rural local body representatives who believe the delimitation will resolve long-standing administrative overlaps and empower local communities.

Expanding Higher Education Access

Addressing the critical gap in rural higher education, Choudhary virtually inaugurated new state-run degree colleges across all administrative blocks of Bihar. Following the virtual launch, academic sessions and regular classes have officially commenced, bringing university-level education directly to the doorsteps of rural students who previously had to travel long distances to major cities.

One of the notable institutions to begin operations is the Alampur Government College. Principal Mahendra Nath Pandey, who also oversees Shershah College in Sasaram, confirmed that teaching staff and administrators have assumed their duties, and students have begun attending regular lectures. This systematic expansion of government colleges is a major step toward improving the gross enrollment ratio in higher education across Bihar's rural hinterlands.
