Bihar Implements New Electronic Toll Policy For Highways And Bridges

The government of Bihar has officially introduced a modernized toll collection policy, significantly altering how commuters traverse the state's expanding network of highways and bridges. Under the newly mandated guidelines, manual toll collection is being phased out in favor of digitized, electronic payment systems.

According to the latest government notification, all vehicles passing through designated toll plazas on state highways and bridge corridors must have valid electronic payment methods. The policy strictly requires that the prescribed toll fees be deducted via 'FASTag' or other government-approved electronic toll collection (ETC) systems.
