Prime Minister Modi Hails Nation-First Ideology on BJP Foundation Day

On the historic occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Foundation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President Nitin Nabin extended their warm greetings to millions of party workers across India. Addressing the nation and party members, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the BJP has introduced a paradigm shift in Indian politics by firmly establishing the principle of 'Nation-First'.

PM Modi stated that the BJP's political journey is a testament to dedication, service, and patriotism. He remarked that unlike many political outfits that prioritize dynastic interests and family-led politics, the BJP has consistently kept the nation's welfare, security, and progress at the forefront of its agenda. 'For the BJP, the nation always comes first, followed by the party, and lastly the individual,' Modi said, reiterating the core philosophy that has guided the party since its inception.

A Legacy of Dedication and Growth

Founded on April 6, 1980, the BJP emerged from the roots of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which was established in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mookerjee. Over the last four decades, the party has witnessed an unprecedented transformation, evolving from a minor opposition group that won only two seats in the 1984 general elections to becoming the world's largest political organization. This journey, PM Modi noted, was built on the sweat and sacrifices of generations of party workers who selflessly dedicated their lives to the nation.

Under PM Modi's leadership since 2014, the BJP-led government has championed the slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, Effort of all). This governance model has focused heavily on grassroots welfare, financial inclusion, digital transformation, and robust national security. From the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) to the construction of world-class infrastructure and massive poverty alleviation schemes, the government has sought to align every policy with its nation-first vision.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to the dedication of the party's karyakartas (workers). Shah noted that the BJP is not just a political party but a movement aimed at restoring India's cultural pride and economic strength. BJP President Nitin Nabin congratulated the party workers and urged them to continue working with the same missionary zeal to achieve the goal of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) by 2047.
